2020 KIIP Test Schedule /사회통합프로그램 평가 알아보기!
“From Jan 1st 2019, the KIIP test registration and procedure has changed. Whenever you apply for a KIIP test, including pre-test –사전평가, mid-term test – 중간평가, and comprehensive test – 종합평가, you have to pay the application fee of 30,000 won for each time taking test.”

3.1 Permanent resident test [영주용 종합평가]

Benefits | - Meeting the basic requirement when applying for the permanent resident visa. - Exempt from Korean proficiency interview & get additional points for point-based visas | - Meeting the basic requirement when applying for the permanent resident visa. - Not exempt from interview or getting additional points. 4. Policy changes about the completion of KIIP program (level 4 & 5)
From 2020.09.01, the completion standard of the KIIP Level 4 & 5 for persons who retake the KIIP Level 4 & 5 will change as follows:
‘Old’ KIIP completion standard (until 2020.09.1)* | ‘New’ KIIP completion standard (after 2020.09.1) | |
Level 4 | - You take the level 4 class and pass the mid-term exam, you receive the level 4 completion certificate, and advance to the level 5 - If you fail the 1st exam (below 60 points): + You can retake the test again and again until your score is above 60 points without retaking the 2nd class, you receive the level 4 completion certificate, and advance to the level 5 + You retake the class 2nd time, you receive the level 4 completion certificate, and advance to the level 5. | - You take the level 4 class and pass the mid-term exam, you receive the level 4 completion certificate, and advance to the level 5 - If you fail the 1st exam (below 60 points): + You can retake the test again and again until your score is above 60 points without retaking the 2nd class, you receive the level 4 completion certificate, and advance to the level 5 + You retake the 2nd class and retake the exam repeatedly until you score above 40 points, you receive the level 4 completion certificate, and advance to the level 5 |

* Due to the spreading of corona virus in 2020, the ‘new’ KIIP completion standard was delayed from 2020.07.01 to 2020.09.01
* Comment: The old completion standard (mostly called AUTOPASS policy) is better for persons taking KIIP level 4. The new completion standard is better for persons taking the KIIP level 5.
* What is the difference between the KIIP level 5 completion certificate (이수증) and comprehensive exam passing certificate (합격증):
For example, when applying for the permanent VISA (F5),

+ Person with the KIIP level 5 completion certificate gets 15 bonus points
+ Person with only the comprehensive exam passing certificate gets 10 bonus points
+ Person with both the KIIP level 5 completion certificate and comprehensive exam passing certificate get 15 bonus points.
