V-는 길에 grammar = on the way, while going ~doing something while going somewhere |
Usage:
- Doing something while going somewhere = one the way.../ while going…
-는 길이다 = being in the middle of doing something.
-는 길에 is only used with Verbs indicating physical movements (가다, 오다, 나가다, 다니다,...)
-는 길에 = -는 도중에 (but no restriction on used verbs)

Movement Verb + -는 길에:
가다 -- 가는 길에 (on the way going to ...)
오다 -- 오는 길에 (on the way coming to ...)
나가다 -- 나가는 길에 (while going out...)
다니다 -- 다니는 길에 (while going to ...)
퇴근하다 -- 퇴근하는 길에 (on the way home from work...)
돌아오다 -- 돌아오는 길에 (on the way returning home...)
여행 가다 -- 여행 가는 길에 (while going travel...)
