L1.36 A/N/V-(으)면 좋겠다 grammar = hope, wish, would like ~express desire, wish, or hope that has not been realized
Usage:
- Express one’s desire, wish, or hope that has not been realized. = wish/ hope
- 았/었으면 좋겠다 and (으)면 좋겠다 can be used in the same sense, but 았/었으면 좋겠다 indicates a stronger degree of hope or desire that is opposite to the current situation. (example 1, 2)
Ngữ pháp A/V-았/었으면 좋겠다, A/V-(으)면 좋겠다:
- Diễn đạt ước muốn hay hi vọng của người nói về một điều gì đó chưa thực hiện được ở hiện tại.
- 았/었으면 좋겠다 và 으면 좋겠다 được sử dụng với cùng ý nghĩa, tuy nhiên 았/었으면 좋겠다 diễn đạt mức độ hi vọng hay ước muốn mạnh mẽ hơn mà đối lập với hiện tại. (ví dụ 2)

*부르다 -- 부르면 좋겠다 -- 불렀으면 좋겠다*알다 -- 알면 좋겠다 -- 알렀으면 좋겠다
알리다 -- 알리면 좋겠다 -- 알렸으면 좋겠다
Adjective + (으)면 좋겠다:
많다 -- 많으면 좋겠다 -- 많았으면 좋겠다
시원하다 -- 시원하면 좋겠다 -- 시원했으면 좋겠다
*덥다 -- 더우면 좋겠다 -- 더웠으면 좋겠다
*가볍다 -- 가벼우면 좋겠다 -- 가벼웠으면 좋겠다
Noun + 이면 좋겠다:
학생 -- 학생이면 좋겠다 -- 학생이었으면 좋겠다
의사 -- 의사이면 좋겠다 -- 의사였으면 좋겠다
사장님 -- 사장님이면 좋겠다 -- 사장님이었으면 좋겠다

1. 차가 있었으면 좋겠어요.
I (really) wish I had a car. (I don't have a car now)
2. 돈이 많았으면 좋겠어요.
I (really) wish I had a lot of money. (I don’t have money now)
3. 돈이 많으면 좋겠어요.
I (simply) wish I have a lot of money.
4. 몇 살에 결혼하고 싶어요?
- 30살 전에 결혼했으면 좋겠어요
At what age do you want to get married?
- I would like to get married before I am 30.
5. 이번 방학에 뭐 할 거예요?
- 친구와 바다에 갈 거예요. 방학이 빨리 왔으면 좋겠어요.
What will you do this vacation?
- I will go to the beach with my friend. I wish vacation could come sooner.
6. 내년에 졸업하면 좋겠어요.
I hope to graduate in the next year.
7. 노래를 못해요. 노래를 잘했으면 좋겠어요.
I can't sing well. I wish I could sing well.
